The Indian Soldier

Inspired by the stories of my late-grandfather, who had fought in World War 2, when chatting with my family I realised that I was never taught about India’s role in the world wars, be it in the educational environment or just in general knowledge. Both world wars are seen and taught in a Western Eurocentric view, even though these wars were worldwide as in the name. My aim with this publication is to inform people about how India, under British Rule, helped in winning the war for the side that was in the right.
